doompig444 - Smoother Models?

I've figured out how to make smoother, less blocky-looking models.
Here's an example:

Seriously though I prefer the product BEFORE then the AFTER product.

Cus now you have fucked up smoothing areas and all that stuff, if you want to make your models smoother you should do that by chamfering edges for example not just apply random smoothgroups to random faces.

Except when you add the skin it will turn out to look an inflatable water gun from Walmart, which I think that was what Maarten was trying to say.

No, he was telling me to not select random faces and hit the "Autosmooth" button.

How do I chamfer? Tutorial please?

Thanks Maarten, but I use GMAX and there isn't the little "black window box button" next to the "Chamfer" button...

So when I chamfer it to 0.5, I get a bunch of random stray verts everywhere and it looks terrible.

And no, nox he only needs to export his model to a jms file and have it converted into a gbxmodel, from there it can be given wolfgrave. by importing, or by converting it to something else.
