| I've figured out how to make smoother, less blocky-looking models. Here's an example: Well, What do you think? Post away! | |

| omfg what did you do?!
U RUINED IT!
Seriously though I prefer the product BEFORE then the AFTER product.
Cus now you have fucked up smoothing areas and all that stuff, if you want to make your models smoother you should do that by chamfering edges for example not just apply random smoothgroups to random faces.

| Hmmmm.
Sort of looks like the magnum....
Except when you add the skin it will turn out to look an inflatable water gun from Walmart, which I think that was what Maarten was trying to say.

| Thanks Maarten, but I use GMAX and there isn't the little "black window box button" next to the "Chamfer" button...
So when I chamfer it to 0.5, I get a bunch of random stray verts everywhere and it looks terrible.
Help? | |

That means the number of times an emotional response has been underpinned in a sentence. Just joking with you Maarten. Hey, that should be another acheivement for being the first one to quote myself on RMT!

Ok! Drop the hostility, I'll stop posting in this forum (maybe I should have done that a long time ago since this thread is not about our main objective : RMT MODDING!

| Actually, Noxstant, my friend, this is about RMT Modding. How do you expect me to help with modeling if I can make some smoother models?
Everybody, asking for achievements is the best way to not get an achievement -_-.
But it would be appreciated if you made a GMAX chamfering tutorial, Maarten =).

| Oh really? I assume it is for your dagger. (if you are working on something else, please post it as so of the official tag list)
BTW, I understand you need a model exporter for Gmax so you can give your projects to Wolf_Grave.
I'll send you that shortly.
(yes, I know I said I would quit posting, BUT I believe this is my business now since this is about the models of RMT.)

| seriously if your gonna be a fucking OH IM GONNA QUIT POSTING NOW guy I'm seriously gonna have you banned cus I hate ppl that do that. And no, nox he only needs to export his model to a jms file and have it converted into a gbxmodel, from there it can be given wolfgrave. by importing, or by converting it to something else. Here'sthe smaller tutorial for gmax, for full explanation on it you might need the 3ds max one as well. | |

| Wolf Grave would rather have his models in 3ds. I wouldn't have to say that Maarten, if I wasn't the target of emotional outbursts. What is going on lately, guys? I understand if you are angry, but please don't use it as a threat. (we were all friends once, remember?)
I am currently giving the link to doompig. (it is quicker than the method you described)
To sum it up, I apologize for angering you. (whatever that may be for)
