| If anyone has any CE modding questions that they would like answered, here is the place to do it. Note: this thread is intended to help anyone here who is having problems with something in particular. This thread is not intended to be a pop-quiz. | |

| Is it just me, or is this Adv Dev stuff going to your head? Well, I guess you kinda have a right to do this, as you're the one who actually did something... Meh. | |

| It's not going to my head. I just would like someone else to do something around here instead of wasting up forum memory. So, this thread is intended to get a few people here to do what the are supposed to do. Mod. And I'm nearly the only one doing that. Even if I PM any of you asking you to do something, you guys never do it and never reply. You eventually forget about it after 3 days. And that's the reason for making a thread. I am nearly crying out here for this NOT to be a one man team. And while I appreciate those who provide pics, and simple things, that's not good enough. | |

| It may end up that I do almost everything with this mod. Except HMC said she will work on a few things. And I might go to Wolf for animation of some of my models. But we need to have a little talk about NOT putting the origin of the model in front of the players eyes. (big problem in game that I will fix)
And Hamada, you've helped me with a lot of non-modding related things. Jesus, when I tried to get someone else to do one of those things, it took them 3 weeks to even reply. FTL support of the rest of the team.

| Keep the F on topic people!
Ok nox, for some reason, my scenarios can be opened in Sapien and compiled in tool. But once I open the map in halo CE, I get an exception error. Any theories? I was personally thinking that I was missing a certain multiplayer flag in sapien.

| It's probably because of a starting equipment error. Change the starting equipment to normal Halo weapons (AR, pistol, etc. ) and only place the spawn points of the CE weapons in the map. | |

If it was a shader error, the scenario probably shouldn't have opened in Sapien. And if it did, you would know it. And of course he is going to check out the scenario on Guerilla. That's the only way he can modify the starting equipment. - Quote :

Could it my tag collection that screws it up? I am guessing you are referring to the problem nearly everyone has had with Sapien. Two things to try If you have a dual-core processor While Sapien is open before selecting scenario 1) Ctrl +alt +delete -> Processes tab -> Sapien -> set processor affinity to 1 or run as single core (something like that) If that does not work 2) right click the desktop and make sure you are running the colors on 32 bits.

| Nah, Sapien would open it fine. Usually it's some random multipurpose vehicle shader that some random piece of scenery uses, and it screws up the whole map. I had to give up a whole project because I got some random error that I couldn't fix... | |

| I think Nox is correct here, Sapien hates dual cores.
I wonder if A_Hobo does too. Also, my custom weapons always work fine in the tutorial map. So either a) I messed up the guerilla fase, B) I missed some critical marker, C) Idk, level geometry should be ok...

| Yes, the level geometry should be fine, otherwise the ultra-paranoid tool.exe would have told you so and have built a .wrl file.
So, if it is not the weapons starting in the map causing the problem, there are a few other possibilities.
Check the game type flags - could be an error there.
Also - have you tried playing on the map on CTF or race instead of Slayer? If some of the game types work, then there is obviously a game flag error somewhere in Guerilla.

| I never did, I'll try that now, if I still have the maps
EDIT: did not work, for some reason no game type works and when I use the map_name command I don't spawn..

| Hmmmm. Check your player spawn points in the hierarchy & game windows and make sure everything is as it should be.
And if that doesn't work : So, you've opened this in Sapien, right? And this is a custom made map by you, correct?

| Hm... What about gametypes? That could be an issue... what gametype are you trying it out on? God, I can think of like a million things that could be wrong, starting from a bad shader tag to an entire corrupted BSP... | |

| It's not the shader or Sapien would have been bitching.. which it isn't..
As for gametype spawnpoints.. seems like the only logical way to go now

| So what gametype are you trying it on? Like, did you try playing on CTF, but you didn't create flag markers? xD | |

| I tried CTF, Slayer and Race, all the markers are present. I think it's the spawn markers. | |

| Well then, go check the spawns to see if you've set any spawns up for the gametype in question xD | |
