hey so i heard about you guys from some guy back at halomods.com.

i am a avid modeler....

is there a place for me in this mapping team?

To be a part of the team there are 3 rules
1.Show up regularly
2.Contribute something
3.Dont EVER post racist material
4. Most importantly, DONT ever piss off the webmasters


But can you do make models that are in medival times?
we need a magic longbow.

by the way, those models are dam sechxy, have you ever made a CE mod? Your models look flawless....

lol mid evil models are things i can do for sure haha
they take allot less polygons, and allot less detail.

and yes i work allot with CE

animations aren't my thing just FYI

but im sure you got someone to take care of that

Nice models, you're most definitely on the team. The only problem is, you really don't need that much detail on your models. All those extra fine details can be textured on and bump mapped.

This isn't a "Jack project", you really don't need that much detail.



Btw, I am now coining a new term. Some people have already used it, or something similar to it, but I am now officially coining it.

The term is "Jack project". Which is basically a model/texture/anything else with "OMFG 2024x2024 textures and at least 500000 polygon models!!!11".

also those models look awesome, I can spot some nonplanars near one of the handles but I guess you allready noticed 'em.

Nice models! You need to go to the development thread and sign up for some of the models. Seriously, this guy is incredible, so if there is something in particular he wants to do, let him do it.

I can't wait to configure the damage and projectile physics of his models.

i looked through the forum, and non of the sub forums seem to be specifically for signing up....so that's why i posted here....

the last model was the first one i ever made that's why it has so much useless poly's
it was very expiremental.....

the one b4 that was just out of boredom still allot of work needed to be done

the one in my old sig was one back when i worked in Dimension Gaming (an inde Gaming Company)

and the top one was my latest model made from my own concept, there is a less boxy virsion but by the time i finished, and b4 i got a chance to render, someone didi something stupid and got a virus in the pc, so my father freaked out and uninstalled all my 3d stuff....

but yeah pretty soon i will start on a modified version of silverlight, and mb some abstract dragon weapons....i will post my progress eventually

oh and doompig about the amount of detail....im well aware we dont need high dtail stuff, and i am very aware of bumbmapping.....i work with games like crysis and stuff, so when making mods, we are able to go crazy poly with out bumbmaps simply cause it can handle it haha......

Just go here, or the tag list that is near it, and tell us what you want to work on.

Here are a few basic models I am sure you can knock out of the park :

Weapons - some of the RS melee tags, such as the more elaborate battle axes, bows, and others.

I am impressed by those models. They make me want to do an irish stepdance. If only I knew how...

But ya ur definetely on the team. And as HMC said before, don't piss off the webmasters (a.k.a. me)

Other admin is doompig, and two moderators are HMC and NeiaG.

We already have a bow model from ImBrokeRU which i still have to look at... But other than that you're free to do like silverlight (as you said before) or dragon weapons.

BTW, do you skin you're models too?

anything aside from modeling is pretty much a weakness for me....i know a tiny bit about animating.....i haven't actually made one yet though....
