Here it is as promised, finally!

The current list of tag projects for our RMT/ medieval mod.

Confirmed

Noxstant - crossbow, arrow, shield, battleaxe

Maarten - basic sword

Doompig - dagger

Missing.String - MC knight mod

In consideration

Noxstant - Cannon, (gunpowder was around in china during the medieval ages!)
Guillotine, staff.

Oblivion Content - looking for ideas

Anything else anyone is considering, post it.

Unconfirmed

HMC - RS longsword

Anyone else that I have forgotten.

runes maybe? or perhaps even a staff to be able to do some spells (fire, lightning and telekenisis (long range melee basically)) perhaps a little knife to throw instead of grenades??

I know how to do that, but I'm not sure if sure if Zoxin (the @ compiling it) does.

If he doesn't, I could show him how or I could implement the weapons properties myself and send the finalized properties back to him.

The dagger is being made by doompig already, so when that is made, skinned, and animated, I'll set it up in hex workshop (but I need to research into how the transition between grenade and dagger can be made so that the dagger will travel at a higher velocity) I'm sure I can do it, once I look into it.

As for the RS magic and whatnot, whatever we decide to do with that will probably be centered around the staff.

Well about the runes, magic, etc. We already decided on one of the grenades being a straight-flying spell. Then the second grenade will be the holy hand grenade which will go like church choir singing just before it explodes (like in Worms games xD).

Alright. Is that just an idea or has it been put into development yet?

I do that with Hex Workshop, although, I would need the heavenly music.

But what exactly do you want the grenade to do? (like needle properties?)

Well the sound can be foudn in the game worms (also the demo which can be downlaoded).

Google up a download link for Worms Armageddon demo. Then record the holy hand grenade sound from that... If you can't then I may find a way to use my crappy mic to record it.

Maybe the program is in java, but I looking for the sound file (you know, .wav, .mp3, etc?)

UPDATE : WE HAVE DECIDED TO ONLY USE RS CONTENT IN THE FIRST MOD.

Disregard any previous posts about Oblivion content, for we will not touch that until our next mod.



CURRENT PROGRESS : hammer, shield models fully completed

In construction but almost finished : battleaxe, axe, crossbow.

BTW when you messaged me about darkbow, I meant the darkbow off of runescape... cuz it looks kind of sick. The catapult would be an awesome vehicle to have.

We may want to even it out on the map though. Maybe by adding carriages for one side then catapults for the castle.

Or we could just add catapults AND carriages at both bases. This option may cause less of a fuss.

Or to even it out we could make there be like 2 catapults for blue team (ones not in castle) and red team (castle) will have only one since they get a high ground advantage. Then ahve each abse getting two carriages.

I can see that option coming under scrutiny by many noobs who say that "we're going to lose because they gots 2 catapult!"

I personally think it is a good idea, however, high ground would set up a prime target for the bow experts out there.

Another option is that you can have the catapults in the middle of the map up for grabs.

Or maybe make the catapults be pushed!

Make it a very slow vehicle that can be moved by a seat that will be lablled as: "Press E to push Catapult."

So MC would push it then you can get out then go into the launching seat.

But also have maybe just one incredibly powerful catapult up for grabs in middle, as you already said.

So, I can work on the models of the catapult - unless someone else wants it, it its yours, just say so.

I am thinking about modding the tank into the catapult - it would be perfect - no rapid fire, considering the catapult has to rewind, and the tank is somewhat slow.

We'll make the projectile a rock/giant boulder.

It will be instant kill if landing on someone and then also have a blast radius of a few metres (yards for americans).

It will have to be slightly bigger than the tank and have the speed reduced because tank still moves pretty fast. It will have to move at a realistic pace as if it were actually being pushed while on wheels by only ONE person. Then of course this could be a vehicle for two people.

The turning speed for the catapult will also have to be slow for the gunner/operator.

Realism is a good thing xD

No problem, I can do that with hex workshop and gmax

I could swap the tank shell model with a boulder but keep most of the other (explosive) physics.

By the way, I use meters more than yards. Of course, meters are more generally accepted in the scientific community than yards, so that might be the cause.
