| Ok, someone needs to get me squared away on what parts of RS we are including in the map and where they are located. Can someone pull up some pics of significant areas. Also, I have included the picture of the fetal bsp itself, so it would be nice if someone could edit it in paint and point out a few areas of importance. | |

| Wouldn't it be better if you just used the map of the town you are modelling and then make a plane and start extruding faces for buildings and walls etc. | |

| Well, that was what I was kind of planning to do. So, can anyone find me a pic of the varrock area and pics of more key features of Varrock and what direction they should be positioned on the map. (I need to know where to build what) | |

| Wait, you should prolly check on that with an export. Halo's got weird BSP rules. You have to comply to them all for it to compile properly. So actions such as extruding planes may be risky... I'm not really sure. Ask someone who's experienced with BSPs. When I tried making my own BSP, the only rule I really knew was to just tessellate everything and to not make any new blocks or anything... Something like that ^^. | |

Uhh I think the only real problems here are closed world rules. And that shouldn't interfere with the process of extruding. Still, it would probably be the best to only extrude the buildings from the ground. And it would be even better if we only used the 'extrude' map as a sort of beta. The final version should probably have all it's buildings modeled seperately and put into the level bsp.

First of all, when the hell did I say I had compilation errors or had difficulties building a bsp? Second of all, why should I test the errors on a flat tes. box? Finally, what does extruding planes have to do with anything? We were discussing making buildings out of vertices, as the same way bases & hills are. I have a good bit of experience with building bsps for HCMT, so I can handle all of the technical aspects of production, doompig. (just that stupid coplanar surface thing that I am asking modacity about) Your concern is appreciated doompig, but will all due respect it is unnecessary. Pics and accurate data about Varrock is what I need.

| I might do that, but the bsp would probably be of higher quality if I received tips from a few big RS fans. Also, it would save me a bit of time. | |
