| Well, you should probably check out the HEK tutorial first. And if you have any specific questions ask.
Right now you need
.gbximporter
animationimporter
animationexporter
.jms exporter
Just google these, and you should find them quickly. But which make sure you get the plugins for Gmax if you are using Gmax. Most 3ds scripts are incompatible with GMax.

| Actually, those scripts were made for GMAX, but they speed up the 3ds experience as well... | |

| Well, there are different versions of the scripts below, doompig. If he googled these, it is possible he may run across a script made exclusively for 3ds and not gmax. | |

| Well, I tell you a few things you need to do.
Click and drag a box, but before you click on the grid set the size properties on bottom right of the screen in the thousands. Then right click your box and select convert to - editable mesh then click the editable mesh thing on the top-right of the screen and select face under it. Select the entire box and go to the bottom right menu and select flip. You should be able to see inside the level now. Select all faces once again and go to the bottom right and find tessellate and set the value for that to 0. Then you must press tess. 4 times.
We can talk about textures if you have any questions about those (material ID's and whatnot)

| Select Gmax Material Editor and click Add - Multi/sub object and clcik the box for the (1 to the left of it) first object and click diffuse map and select bitmap. Bring up your texture (gmax works better with .tif's) open it and press the up arrow. PRess a button that sort of looks like a cube that says "show map in viewport" select this. Then go back to editable mesh - face (as we previously discussed and select the part of the map you want the texture on. Once you have the area selected, go to the menu on the bottom that says material ID' and type in 1.
Go then immediately to modifiers, UV coordinates, uv map. you sould see UV map come up on the top-right. Click it and click the thing that appears under it (I cannot recall what it is called at this moment) then scroll down to the bottom right menu and press the view align and fit butttons until your texture looks right.
You must do this for each new texture each with a new material ID (1,2, etc.)
Once you are ready to export, make a small box off to the side of the grid. Name the small box "frame" and your first box "level". Select level. Go to link. Go to select by name (these should be near upper-left upper mid part of the screen) once the link menu opens, select frame and press link. Then go to run script - Jms exporter and select export JMS. You should have grablistener downloaded somewhere. Once the script finishes, open Grablistener and a basic save menu comes up.
And if we need to, I can tell you how then to do things with the infamous tool.

| Oh it's not as easy as that. You need tool to compile some things for you, edit some stuff in guerilla and place every asset and spawnpoint etc in sapien. Only then, can you turn it into a map. | |
